Democratic Services is at the heart of the Council, professionally supporting and delivering its decision making and democratic processes.

The Democratic Services Team provides professional governance support across the Council, ensuring its democratic and decision making processes are efficiently delivered and comply with the law.

What we do:

Develop, deliver and support effective Officer and Member decision-making processes in compliance with the law;
Advise and support Officers and Members on the Council's Constitution, Member's Code of Conduct and Member development;
Administer the Council’s Committee meetings, producing document packs and recording decisions
